Dr Robert Comey, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Robert Comey studied medicine at the University of Calgary. He did his psychiatry residency training in Ottawa then completed a sleep fellowship at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. He has been a consultant in the UBC Sleep Program since 2010 and he is the medical director of Seymour Sleep Medicine. Rob is a passionate advocate for better sleep and is a sought-after speaker at medical conferences and in the community.
Dr Richard Feige, MD, FRCPC, ABIM
Dr. Richard Feige received his MD degree from the University of Calgary, trained in Respirology and Critical Care, and did a sleep medicine fellowship at the Foothills Hospital in 1986. (FRCPC in Internal Medicine and Respirology, ABIM and ABSM). Since then, he has worked as a clinical respirologist and intensivist in the Fraser Health Authority, primarily at Surrey Memorial Hospital. He set up two sleep labs and is currently the medical director of the FHA polysomnography laboratory at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. His special interest is in sleep-disordered breathing and nocturnal ventilatory support. In his free time, he likes to sail and play soccer for the Point Grey Thistles
Melanie Hayes, RPSGT
Lead Polysomnographic Technologist
Melanie came to Vancouver from Perth, Western Australia in 2017 and has been working with Seymour Health since 2018. Melanie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Human Biology and Biomedical Science) with a post graduate diploma in Adult Sleep Science. She completed her registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist in 2017. Since 2012, Melanie has worked in both adult and pediatric sleep laboratories as a technologist.
